Testimonials

Elle (parent)

‘We are grateful to Louise for helping Oliver gain confidence in his ability, harnessing his imagination and love for learning. Louise is kind, caring and focused on enhancing the child’s ability. Her enthusiasm is infectious. Her classroom is a lovely environment to learn.

Louise made each session interesting, positive and fun. The variety of activities and her creativity meant that my son looked forward to each session. Oliver had struggled with learning in the classroom previously; Louise was able to slow things down and give Oliver time to learn at his pace-this has given him confidence.

Louise explained what she was working on at the end of each lesson, so that we could work on her activities at home. This feedback was much appreciated.’

Elliott (pupil, age 11)

‘I love the games that we play at the start and the end of the session. They make me feel energised and ready for the lesson. The lessons are fun and interactive! I prefer these lessons so much more than lessons which are not interactive and have to be done in silence. Louise is really kind and allows me to talk, move about, use different tools and put my ideas across. The seats are so comfy and it’s a colourful, cosy and chilled classroom (feels like a playroom). Louise always listens to me.’

‘My son had gaps in his English education from primary school / covid which deeply concerned me as he moved into year seven. I discussed this with Louise as I wanted an experienced teacher that could assess his needs and address them in a positive, reassuring way to build up his confidence and, ultimately, his capability. Louise very quickly assessed his ability and produced a manageable goal-based plan for him, which she discussed with me so I fully understood the programme.

My son responded so positively to the first lesson and was full of enthusiasm afterwards. This has led to him looking forward to each session, even when tired! He’s retaining the information and growing in confidence, week on week. His spelling has improved quickly, which was a key objective. This, in turn, has led to him feeling more capable during his year seven English lessons. His confidence has grown and there has been a positive change in his attitude towards English.

My concerns have been reduced significantly by Louise, who discusses the outcomes of every session. Louise is a talented, kind and passionate teacher who thrives on seeing children develop and achieve their educational goals. The difference in my son, in only a few sessions, is extraordinary.’
