Services
I offer the following services to children between the ages of five and fourteen:
- 1:1 literacy lessons that are tailored to your child’s specific needs and goals. These could focus on reading, writing, spelling and handwriting.
- 1:1 numeracy lessons that are tailored to your child’s needs and goals. These could focus on specific objectives or topics and there will be a variety of opportunities for your child to use and apply their knowledge and skills to questions that have been put into real-life contexts.
- Group lessons can be beneficial when children are working towards similar goals. Please contact me if you are keen to discuss possible options for group lessons.
- If you have chosen to educate your child at home, I will happily work with you to plan a curriculum that incorporates and compliments your beliefs, approaches and aspirations for your child’s learning journey. This can cater for individuals or groups of children.
- Support, guidance and study/revision skills for children with dyslexia, dyspraxia and other neurodiversities
- Preparation for SATs and Pre-Tests
- Preparation for English and Mathematics Common Entrance exams
- If your child is struggling in school, I will happily communicate with you, your child and the appropriate members of staff to agree on a joint approach that will help your child to progress and succeed.
Every minute is tailored to your child’s specific needs
My specialist lessons are normally 1:1 lessons so that every minute is tailored to your child’s specific needs. Preparation for tests and exams can be done with a group of children and I am happy to adapt my sessions for learning differences and a range of abilities. However, I would need to discuss this with you beforehand to ensure that every child has the best possible experience and reaches their full potential.
I will adjust my approach in accordance with your child’s progress
I offer lessons in my classroom (in Pulborough, West Sussex) and online. If you have chosen to educate your child at home, I am more than happy to discuss ways in which I can support your child’s learning journey with either 1:1 or group lessons. I also offer individual and group lessons during the school holidays for children that benefit from spending additional time on specific topics and/or exam preparation.
